Matlock Bath Illuminations 2024
A spectacular parade of illuminated and decorated boats floats along the River Derwent in Matlock Bath. The illuminations takes place every Saturday and Sunday evening between 7th September and 27th October. It’s a really family friendly event with entertainment and children’s rides.
Every Saturday in October, and on the finale night 27th October, there’s also a fireworks finale.
There’s lots to do in Matlock Bath so you can easily spend the day there and then visit the lights in the evening. Ride the cable cars up to the Heights of Abraham or visit Gulliver’s Kingdom theme park for younger children.
If you’re looking for accommodation near the illuminations we have camping & touring pitches at Callow Top, plus holiday cottages and apartments. It approx. 25 mins drive to Matlock Bath and we’re in a great location for exploring the rest of the Peak District.
