What a difference a year makes! It’s 12 months since the BBC last visited us after weeks of torrential rain! A year on it’s a completely different story with guests enjoying long, hot days of blue sky and brilliant sunshine. This gorgeous weather is the icing on the camping cake, long may it continue. The site inspector from enjoyEngland (tourist board) visited us last week and we’re thrilled to have been awarded a 4 star holiday, touring & camping park rating again for this year. “A very well situated park offering the opportunity for guests to relax whilst also using the park as a base for visiting the many local places of interest. The very positive and proactive attitude shown by the team members should be commented on – a compliment for the park and owners” said the inspector. Snow capped Derbyshire was looking beautiful and, despite it being a bit colder than we expected (brrr!), blue skies & sunshine made for a fab Easter Weekend here at Callow Top. We’ve been getting lots of calls asking if we’re going to be open for Easter because of the snow. We definitely will be! Our drive and site roads are completely clear. more »

A lovely review of Callow Top in the May issue of Outwell’s new ecAmp magazine. ‘A great base for families with easy access to the Peak District’ said the reviewer.
Taking place on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th June this brand new festival celebrates all things baking and takes place in the appropriately named market town of Bakewell!
