We’re Winners…

We’re really excited to be Regional Winners, for the Heart of England area, for the third year running in the Top 100 Sites Awards 2016.

The awards are run by Practical Caravan magazine, Practical Motorhome magazine and Caravan Sitefinder website. Votes are cast throughout the year by guests who’ve stayed with us at Callow Top.

“The play park is great for children to be active and make friends. Arnold’s café/bar is ideal for the family! We love Callow Top’s proximity to the Tissington Trail for biking and walking. Last but not least, the outdoor heated swimming pool is the best I have used. It has a separate section for toddlers. I have visited a number of sites and I can honestly say that this is the best all-round site.”  was just one of the lovely comments received on our voting forms.

Thousands of votes are sent in every year for sites throughout the UK. You know the finalists are sites you can trust because they’ve been voted for for campers & caravanners just like you!

Look out for us in the Top 100 Sites Guide free with the April issue of Practical Caravan magazine.

eli : April 27, 2015 3:26 pm : Uncategorized

Chris, our bar manager, has returned from London on a high this week after completing his fourth London Marathon in the brilliant time of 2 hours 51 minutes.

Not only did he raise lots of money for Macmillan Cancer Support but he had the honour of running 14 miles alongside Paula Radcliffe as she ran her last marathon.

‘She was a lovely lady and it was a once in a lifetime experience’ he said. ‘The atmosphere was amazing with the crowds cheering her on.’

You might have seen him on telly on the BBC coverage or the news. He’s even made the papers in the London Evening Standard and The Metro.

He might think himself a celebrity now but I’m sure we’ll soon bring him back to earth with a bump!
